I’m completely positive that’ll solve all your problems.
One kid says, “I hate when people force their opinions on you.”
Another kid replies with a teacher’s name. Then proceeds to say she dropped his AP class because of that.
I’m sorry, but I find that extremely idiotic. This aforementioned teacher gives his students plenty of opportunities to argue back their own beliefs. Most people don’t because they’re not informed enough, and they’re too intimidated. But whose fault is that? He’s simply teaching you to go look for answers instead of believing what everybody tells you. Sure, most of the time, the kids don’t win arguments against him, but he IS a history teacher and he IS more informed than the majority of the students.
But dropping an AP class just because you don’t agree with the teacher? Why would you do that? Plenty of my friends who took his class are in complete disagreement with him, but they still like him as a teacher. His grading is fair, and he’s not biased against kids that are obviously in disagreement with him. In some cases, he even likes them even more, because it shows that they’re actively involved in current events.
Dropping the class is just running away from your problems, and that sure is going to get you far in life. Yeesh…what an idiot.
